i lick windows, yah?Brooks King wanted a book. Not just any book, a book. Some would call them Romance Novels. But in the wizarding world, where picture come to life, they might as well be called pornos. And since Brooks was single, looking to mingle with - at this point - anything that walked, he had to settle for the novels in a romance-less world.Too bad the girls in the books didn't walk, huh? Well, they probably did but...you get the point. He'd heard of this store, Empty Pages, from a fellow professor who was questionable in sexuality. He'd said it was run and owned by a man - Weston Bale. He was gay. The man made if very clear that he was gay. Brooks was instantly intrigued. Which is why he was here, in the "restricted section" of Empty Pages, hoping this Weston would approach. Or anyone, for that matter.

Being a nice spring day outside, Weston had been helping a lot of customers. Most of his employees were up at the castle, however, so he was short on staff. Taking over for Tina, one of the authors who lived in the shop and was currently on her lunch break, he began to alphabetize the World Travel section. It had gotten extremely disorganized from all the tourists. After finishing only one shelf, another worker, Brandon, walked by with a large armful of reference books. "Hey, boss," he grunted, "There's a customer over in the Restricted Section," and continued on his way. Weston sighed, setting down his own armful of books and wiping his hands off on his pants.
He spotted the customer right away, with shaggy hair and rather large spectacles. "Welcome to Empty Pages! Can I help you?" he asked, smiling with his hands in his pockets.

Brooks jumped, causing the book he was holding to fly from his hands and, in the process, knocking over several other books. He leaned against the shelf and gave an awkward laugh, tugging at the sweater that suddenly seemed to be choking him, "Sorry."
"I, uh, I was looking for....this! " Brooks bent over, plucking one of the fallen book from the ground, The Highlander's Highlander. "Yes, yes. The Highlander's...Highlander....that's, that's what I wanted, I'll just...be on my way now. Thank you."

Weston chuckled. His voice sure was deep for a gay man. "Oh, goodness, I've embarrassed you, haven't I?" He picked up the other books and held them against his chest. "No worries, I'm the last person to be shy around! Weston," he gestured to hold out his hand but the books startled to tumble so he quickly grasped them again. "Oops!" he laughed, "Let me put these away, real quick." He turned around and shelved them in their proper spots in about three seconds. He dusted himself off again and turned around. "There! I'm Weston," he said, finally able to hold out his hand.

Brooks' eyes went wide. This was Weston. This dreamboat was Weston Bale. Nom, nom, nom!, "It's nice to meet you, Weston.." Brooks accepted his hand, giving a smile and flipping his hair from his eyes, "I'm Brooks, Brooks King."

"Oh, my god! You teach up at the castle, don't you?" he asked as he shook Brooks' hand. He examined the other man - he had weird vibes coming from him. He couldn't decide if he was just an eccentric straight, or just plain gay. Weston didn't believe in bisexuality.
